artEAST artists join together to celebrate, collaborate, support, and advance the visual arts scene with the 2nd annual 150 Feet of Art exhibition and silent auction. This unique fundraising event features 150 feet of 12" x 12" original pieces of wall-hung art donated by over 80 local artists. The artwork includes a combination of mediums from painting; sculpture; fiber arts; drawings and photography.
The event will begin with the March 7 reception and launch of the silent auction bidding. Bidding will be done on-line at www.arteast.org . Bidding will continue until Sunday March 16, 2008 at 10:00 p.m. PST. If you are outbid on a piece you will be notified by e-mail that "You've been outbid!" This is a wonderful opportunity for art lovers everywhere (last years winners bid from as far as Massachusetts to Arizona and California) to begin collecting original, affordable art. The opening bid on all pieces starts at $50 with a "Buy it Now" final price of $300.
This powerful exhibition and auction serves our organization as an exciting fundraiser. The events fundraising goes toward covering artEAST's operating expenses for the organization's studio space, administrative costs and salary for our part-time executive director.
artEAST's ultimate goal is to secure an Art Center, a place which will offer art exhibitions, arts education and studio space all under one roof. The center will be a place to nurture the visual arts in the community through exhibiting, teaching and creating art.
artEAST is a 501 3C non profit arts organization in Issaquah promoting visual arts through out the whole Eastside. The group is comprised of artists and art supporters dedicated to making the arts an integral part of life in the community.
