The inspiration for the pieces I create many times come from the materials themselves.
The pure simple beauty of rock, silver, and copper. Hand forged on sections of old railroad tracks
give the pieces texture and a look of age. I then oxidize the silver, removing just a bit to let a glimmer of the metal come through.
I love the thought of using these gifts from the earth to create modern contemporary pieces.
