Deborah Freng is a self admitted color junkie. Her preoccupation with HUE is punctuated by a life long interest in texture, shape, and lighting. Whether drawing, painting, shooting photos, or creating with fiber she’s producing another “color/texture experience” for people to enjoy. Currently she’s combining her painting and illustration background with her fine art photography.

Deb received her BA in Art from Western Washington University where she majored in Studio Painting. As a child she took painting lessons from William Cumming at the Kirkland Creative Arts League. Later, in art school, she was once again a student of Mr. Cumming and Northwest Artist Fred Griffin.

Her 36 year career includes Oil Painting, Graphic Design, Illustration, Editorial Cartooning, Film Production, Newspaper Ad Layout, Ad Agency Print Production, Layout and Prop Design, T Shirt Illustration and being a Manufacturers’ Rep in the commercial printing industry.

Her paintings, drawings, fiber design, and photographs have been exhibited at the Bellevue Arts & Crafts Fair, Pacific Northwest Arts & Crafts Fair, Fairhaven Gallery, Anacortes Art Fair, Richmond Beach Library, WSU Viking Commons, Seattle Design Association 12 x 12 Art Auction, Issaquah ArtWalk, artEAST, UpFront Gallery, EAFA 34th Annual Juried Exhibition and most importantly her Mom and Dad’s refrigerator door.
