Nature is astounding in it's ability of making the complex look simple. For me, that contradiction holds a parallel to every day of life. And it's that same interplay of simple to complex that directs my approach to art.
This series of sculptural copper leaves are a combination of the real and imagined worlds. To me, these leaves offer nature's movement and grace in a familiar shape. And it is in making the metal move that I experience just how complex nature can be.
