Having been born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, I have fond memories of the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico. I can still picture the vibrant colors of the sunsets, sea-life, and the white washed sands of the surrounding beaches. Growing up, I was never exposed to the art world. Soon after I completed High School I entered the United States Army. While serving 12 years of duty, I was deployed to Macedonia, Germany, Korea, and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 1999, while stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, I met my wife Kathleen. It was Kathleen who held my hand through my journey into the arts and all it had to offer. Glass, in all forms, has become my obsession. It is ironic I chose the medium of glass. To me, it signifies my return to the sandy beaches of Florida. Ironically, I traded the sands of Iraq for sand in the hot shop.
